Historical traditions for the Fourth are found in Bristol, Rhode Island with its annual parade and Drum & Bugle Corps competition.

Some Down Home Events

An outstanding annual USA Independence Day parade will take place on July 4 in Arlington, Texas. The theme is "Let's Roll . . . America."

LibertyFest 2011 in Edmond, Oklahoma, is cited as one of the best ten places to be on Independence Day by CNN and USA Today. The festival runs June 25-July 4.

Southport, North Carolina, is billed as the location for the official 2011 North Carolina Festival. "The American Tribute," or silent sky fireworks display is a feature of this program.
