Office Hours: I will hold regular office hours on Wednesday evenings from 4:00 until 10:15 PM. Meetings during office hours are scheduled by appointment. Appointment sheets listing office-hour dates and appointment times for the entire semester are posted on the bulletin board outside the International Development Office. Please sign up personally for appointments whenever possible. However in circumstances where this is impossible, you may call the work study assistant at the International Development Division office (X1660) or James Thompson, the International Development Division Manager (X1657) and they will make an appointment for you. Please be sure to include phone numbers where you can be reached during the day and evening when making appointments.

If you can not reach me at the University, you should feel comfortable about calling me at home. Your message will be received by voice mail if I am not available. Please do not call before 8:30 AM or after 8:00 PM on weekdays and not before 10:00 AM or after 6:00 PM on weekends. You may send a fax at any time. I normally check my elec-tronic (computer) mail regularly each day, but not always. Urgent messages should be communicated by voice mail or fax. You may also use these media to alert me that I have an electronic mail message. You will be issued computer accounts at the beginning of the semester if you do not already have one. Speak with Mr. Kumarakulasingam if you have questions about The American University's electronic mail system.
